About Music From Denmark

On this blog, you will find a list of Danish indie/alternative artists and bands. I've started this list as a quick guide to some of the best bands from the small Scandinavian country. Whenever made possible by the artists, I've added free songs to download (marked in green). A * after a link indicates free downloads on the site; I won't link directly to MySpace-downloads.

I know that this list will probably never be complete, but with your help, we might get close to it. So if you know an artist that is missing on the list, let me know in the comments section.

If you're a Danish artist yourself and can't find your name on the list, write a comment, too. Please add a short description of your music style, links to your homepage(s), and if possible, a link to downloadable songs.

I'm open to suggestions that might improve this blog. I want to keep it as simple as possible, but that doesn't mean no changes at all! This list is intended as something that grows constantly, so let's make it happen together!

Who's Behind This?

I'm a music-junkie from Switzerland, and some of you might know my main blog Music Of The Moment. I have been blogging about music since 2004 there, and Danish music has always been a part of it.

My interest in Danish music has been growing over the years, and I really have to thank my friend and blogger-mate Morten for that. He has been a constant source for great new Danish songs (he's Danish himself, btw.), and he continues to dig up more artists on his blog Hits In The Car.

The idea for this list here came from a music-forum where I was asked about a list of the best Danish artists, and I thought it would be a good idea to spread the word even wider than those forum borders. This blog is the result!
